The welding department at Stryvo serves as a hub for much of the production. It is here that parts are assembled into complete products. Maintaining this department requires significant resources. Slawek explains:

- Welding is a complex process. We need to renew certifications annually, and there are strict controls on who is allowed to weld. This is essential for maintaining our standards.

Slawek refers to ISO 3834-2, a standard ensuring that Stryvo, as a production company, upholds the quality of its welding. The standard outlines how welding should be systematically performed in workshops or out in the field.

- We conduct extensive tests, including pressure and ultrasonic tests, to ensure the quality is always top-notch, Slawek continues.

A Creative Direction

Sivert’s passion for welding began during his school years. He had a work placement at Stryvo in 2024, and when he was offered an apprenticeship, the choice was easy.

- I chose vocational training and welding because I enjoy working with my hands and being creative. Learning about various welding processes here at Stryvo is a fantastic opportunity, Sivert explains.

He looks forward to building on what he has already learned and becoming a skilled welder:

- I’m really impressed by my coworkers. It takes both time and patience to teach something this advanced. I hope that my initiative and the knowledge I bring from school can both ease the workload and inspire my colleagues.

Securing Access to Expertise

Slawek, who is also responsible for training new welders, emphasizes the importance of investing in new workers for the future, especially at a time when the industry faces a shortage of qualified welders.

- Having Sivert on the team allows us to look at our processes with fresh eyes. By dedicating time to training and following proper procedures, we are laying a strong foundation for having motivated and skilled welders in the future, says Slawek.

- We learn a lot from each other, Sivert adds before continuing: With support from Slawek and the team, I feel confident that I am receiving the best possible training and guidance.

By combining experience and beginner’s passion, Stryvo is investing in smart ways of sustaining their knowledge and ways of working. Together, Slawek and Sivert are not only assembling products, but also the future for solid welding at Stryvo.
