Stryvo won the Norwegian Steel Construction Award
The prestigious Steel Construction Award, which is presented every two years, was awarded in 2019 to Stryvo for the bridge over Fantesteinsvatn.

Project manager Ard Mikal Kleppe and site manager Bent Sigurd Støyva from Stryvo led the project, where Stryvo was the steel contractor.
Here is an excerpt from the jury’s reasoning:
“At first glance, the bridge construction seems completely improbable, but upon closer consideration, it is entirely logical in its interaction between construction and site, between the steel’s tension and the solid exposed rock. The 47-meter span is solved with a 20 millimeter high prestressed structure, loaded with intelligence, resulting in optimal resource use. This is nevertheless executed with completely standard materials and construction methods. The result is extremely elegant.”
Stryvo shared the award together with the following:
- Client: County Governor of Oppland / National Park Board for Jotunheimen and Utladalen
- Architect: Dronninga Landskap AS
- Structural engineer: Dipl.-Ing. Florian Kosche AS
