Stryvo Delivers to Groundbreaking Aquaculture Facility: Largest Project to Date.

On Andøya in Vesterålen, one of the world’s most fish-friendly and sustainable land-based aquaculture facilities is being built. Stryvo is a subcontractor for Cflow in the further development of the aquaculture facility, and Stryvo’s delivery is the largest in the company’s history.

Good collaboration has been crucial

– This project has been a milestone for us, and we are proud to contribute our expertise on these critical components, says Bjarte Medby Olsen, Sales and Project Manager at Stryvo.

Stryvo will deliver 48 complete hatch sets to Cflow, including hatch guides and lifting mechanisms. Most of the hatch guides have already been delivered, with several embedded in the foundations. The rest of the delivery will be completed by Christmas.

– We chose Stryvo as our supplier because of delivery time and design. The project and the hatches from Stryvo are the result of close and good cooperation over time, to arrive at the best solution for us and the end customer. In hindsight, we have seen that Stryvo has delivered on time, quality, and cost, says Stian Østrem, SVP Operations at Cflow.

Good internal cooperation within Stryvo has also been important, and Olsen is pleased with the trust Cflow has shown:

– It has been a fantastic opportunity for us to work with Cflow and contribute to such a groundbreaking facility.

Efficient and reliable production

Cflow is known for its complete solutions for aquaculture and has, in collaboration with Andfjord Salmon, further developed the aquaculture facility at Kvalnes on Andøya. The project combines technology and environmental considerations to produce salmon in the most sustainable way possible.

This is the first project collaboration between Cflow and Stryvo, and communication has been important throughout. Østrem explains:

– Both commercially and operationally, the project has been managed and followed up professionally by Stryvo, in collaboration with key personnel within technical and supply chain at Cflow. Important success factors for this delivery have been reliability, flexibility, and efficiency. The latter has been crucial after many rounds of changes to find the very best design and where different material qualities have been considered along the way. The dialogue with Stryvo has been important and good!

For the hatches in the project, Stryvo has used its expertise from the hydropower industry:

– One of our greatest strengths is our extensive knowledge across several industries and fields, which we can effectively combine to develop new solutions. The advantage for Cflow is that we are already well acquainted with the material requirements and documentation for this type of project. This allows us to make good assessments and provide solid recommendations tailored specifically to this project, Olsen says.
