New Certification Strengthens Already Solid Routines and Procedures

Jon Are Fjeld, Senior Mechanical Engineer at Stryvo, and Arve Humborstad, Head of Information, Contracts, and Quality at Stryvo, have worked together on the certification and recertification.

– Stryvo aims to always be well certified within the markets we operate. When we were working on several recertifications before the summer, we saw that PED Module H had become very relevant for us. This was partly because our customers and the products we manufacture for them require it, but also because we saw that our existing routines already met the requirements needed to obtain certification, Arve explains.

Meets Strict Requirements

PED is a European directive that sets requirements for the design, manufacturing, and conformity assessment of pressure equipment. The PED Module H certification gives Stryvo the authorization to carry out its own conformity assessments and CE marking. This simplifies the production process and reduces the need for external inspections.

– For our customers, this means more efficient production and lower costs, since we no longer require external inspections. The PED Module H certification is a quality seal that confirms our current quality and control systems meet the strict requirements of the directive, says Jon Are.

Being certified in quality and processes is crucial for maintaining high standards and adapting to new industry requirements.
