20 years of opportunity and change
When Siv Guddal Flo had her first day at Stryn Vognfabrikk in February 2006, the company had eight employees. She was the only woman and the only person in administration. Today, Stryvo has 108 employees. The company has changed its name, built new professional environments, and taken major technological steps. And Siv has been part of it all.

Back in 2006, Siv got an office with a view of Gryta through the yellow window frames that characterized the building. She followed up with customers, suppliers, banks, and payments. In addition, she handled HR tasks, systems, and everything that came with it.
She looks back on the first years at Stryvo:
– I sat alone until 2012. It was a lot of responsibility, but I liked being close to everything that was happening.
As Stryvo grew, the need for more capacity also increased. Today, Siv is the office manager and part of a staff of seven employees. The transition has been both natural and educational.
– The roles have changed in step with the company. And it has been very rewarding to help build a professional environment. You learn a lot about both people and processes when you go from one to many, she explains.
– Det har skjedd enorme endringar. Både i kva vi leverer, korleis vi jobbar og kor mange vi er. Det har vore spanande å stå midt i utviklinga.

The digital shift
In 2008, the company changed its name to Stryvo AS. Since then, the company has developed new customer segments, automated production, and implemented new systems.
– Enormous changes have taken place, both in what we deliver, how we work, and how many of us there are. It has been exciting to stand in the middle of that development.
Siv particularly highlights the work of becoming more digital as an important part of the company’s development.
– When I started at Stryvo, my desk was full of paper. Over time we’ve become more and more digital, and choosing digital solutions has been among the most important decisions we’ve made, she says, and continues:
– We’ve changed ERP systems several times since I started. That can be demanding. You know what you have, but not what you will get. But almost always it has been for the better.
With 20 years of experience in the company, Siv knows exactly how to describe Stryvo:
– Innovative! Stryvo is good at developing new and better solutions for customers so they can save both time and costs. We are solution-oriented, forward-thinking, and we dare to think differently.

The people around her
Today, Siv still sits behind the yellow window frames, but her office is now on the second floor. Her colleagues regularly stop by her office, whether to ask about payroll, an invoice, or simply for a quick chat. And it is all the people who have made Siv enjoy her work so much.
– During my 20 years at Stryvo, I’ve had many colleagues. At the beginning, everyone worked as one team, but as the organization has grown, we’ve been divided into several teams. But even though the organization is bigger, the culture is the same. We help each other, and we collaborate well across teams. That’s something I really value here.
Siv has worked behind the scenes through the major changes at Stryvo, but she has also seen how important it is to pass knowledge on. For her, development is not just about systems and machines, but about people who want to achieve something together. That is why it means even more when new people join.
– It’s positive to have new generations coming in. They bring new ideas, and that does something good for the environment. It gives me confidence that we will continue developing in the right direction in the future, she concludes.
