At Stryvo, we aim to take responsibility for the environment, social issues, and sound corporate governance (ESG), through a thoughtful value chain and operations. We are continuously taking important steps to map and understand our impact.

How We Work with ESG

The UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) partially guide how we prioritize focus areas and develop specific initiatives at Stryvo. However, they do not limit our overall approach to more sustainable operations and impact. This means that while we actively work on initiatives and goals linked to the UN SDGs, we also have other objectives and measures not mentioned here, which are still part of our ESG efforts.

Our Connection to the UN Sustainable Development Goals

The UN SDGs provide a global framework to address the world’s greatest challenges. Several goals are particularly relevant to us, and we aim to incorporate them into our strategy and practices. At Stryvo, we have a wide reach, so we have chosen to focus on the goals where we believe we can make the greatest impact.

Goal 4: Quality Education

Goal 4 aims to ensure inclusive, equitable, and quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all. At Stryvo, we invest in apprenticeships and internships to build competence and include young talent. Target 4.4 is especially relevant to our operations.

At Stryvo, we aim for 10% of our employees to be apprentices. In addition, we offer apprenticeship programs that provide young people with valuable practical experience, strengthening their prospects in the job market.

Goal 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth

Goal 8 focuses on promoting inclusive and sustainable economic growth, decent work conditions, and full employment. We support this goal by prioritizing safe, health-promoting, and inclusive workplaces, where all employees have the opportunity to grow and contribute.

We maintain a constant focus on well-being, a sense of belonging, and low sick leave rates, and work systematically to strengthen the psychosocial work environment. We have implemented Huma to improve onboarding, employee follow-up, and whistleblowing processes. We also have clear procedures for managing HSE incidents and following up on sick leave.

Through these efforts, we aim to foster a work environment characterized by openness, development, and respect, and contribute to responsible and sustainable employment practices.

Goal 12: Responsible Consumption and Production

We are responsible for ensuring that our goods and services are produced in a way that respects human rights and promotes sustainable practices throughout the value chain. Through strong corporate governance and supplier oversight, we can contribute to more responsible production.

Each year, we conduct risk assessments in accordance with the Norwegian Transparency Act. These help us identify any violations of human rights or decent working conditions requirements.

Goal 13: Climate Action

At Stryvo, we aim to map and reduce greenhouse gas emissions and operate in a more sustainable way.

Through Ignite, we map our emissions and divide them into Scope 1, 2, and 3. This allows us to see where our footprint is largest and define measures to reduce our future emissions.

The majority of our emissions come from purchased energy and our supply chains, and we know that a holistic approach is required to achieve real reductions.
